Update on Misfire.
Discussion
I posted last week about my Tuscan developing a misfire (I thought it might have been cheap fuel). It turns out the tappets were well out and in need of adjusting, also the timing chain had come loose and was making a real racket which I had thought was the sound of impending doom!
Anyway, I just got the car back from the garage (Chris Neils), and I must say what a difference! It definitely was no slouch before (as those that have been passengers can verify), but now it goes like stink, without the accompanying cacophony from under the bonnet, just a roar from the carbon cans. I have fallen in love with my car all over again!

Agreed. Just got mine back from the factory a couple of weeks ago following 24K service at 18K miles. They adjusted the tappets and the engine is running more smoothly than at any time I've had it. Nothing major to report either from the service, the car got a clean bill of health and a thumbs up from Heath for being in such good condition. I'm tempting fate, but its so good at the moment, I can't lust after any improvements because it does not need any!
