Tuscan 2 Pod Dash

I have a Tuscan 2 with the Pod dash (no analogue dials).  When the ignition is enabled before starting the engine the display shows an "S" in a circle.  Sometimes this appears for a short time, and sometimes it stays until the engine is started.  Occasionally, it momentarily flashes up whilst driving.  Does anyone know what it indicates/means?

Hi, I also have the same dash and sometimes get the S come up before starting. Iv never managed to find out what It means but have never had any problems so tend to ignore it. My car Is going in for a service next week so I will ask then.
