Hello, all, this is an appeal from a keen TVR fan to try and see if some kind PHer could lend me their TVR (preferably a Tuscan) for my Brothers wedding this Sunday 8th July. To explain the scenario, I was almost certain to borrow a Tuscan from TVR Ecosse in Dundee, however, a prospective buyer came along and bought the car at the last minute! frown

My brother and my parents are being chauffeured to the wedding venue in a Rolls Royce Phantom, but my wife and I are following them. The idea was for us to make added visual and audible appeal (as you do in a Tuscan of course) but as that has fallen through I suddenly thought of this brainwave to ask the lovely folks on this forum, I understand this is a bit of a longshot due to the short notice and the fact its over the forum but its worth a shot, TVR is worth it!

To provide details, I would require the car this Sunday 8th July from about 11am on Sunday til 10pm roughly. We would be driving from my family home in Pollokshields, Glasgow to McDonald Crutherland House Hotel in East Kilbride (about 8 miles each way). As I say, the use of the car is purely for the wow factor that it has. I would then drop it off (or you could pick it up) from my house in Pollokshields again in the evening. I have already contacted Privelige Insurance who I am with, who were willing to Comprehensivly insure me on a Tuscan for 2 nights for a meagre £33, so using the car for only 11 hours would be even cheaper indeed and not a problem for me. I am 27 years old, a Doctor in the NHS, and I have 8 years protected NCB, which is why the insurance quote is so cheap I guess.

As I say, I know this is a long shot, but for the impact the Tuscan has on everyone its definitely worth it! Please contact me if you would be interested to generously offer the use of your car for the day. My mobile is 07912042434.

Thanks for your consideration!

I hired one from http://www.southwestsportscars.co.uk/tvr-hire-cars... for my wedding. Really nice chap. I live 300miles away so went down on the Friday - left my car with him..had a lovely drive back in the Tuscan. Married on Saturday - had a nice leisurely drive in it Sunday with the new Mrs. then took it back on a nice long drive back on the Monday =)

Would recommend it! And if you like TVR's - this is your chance to get a fair bit of time driving one =)

It has.. and he hasnt come back to either post to let us know how he got on.

Im still awaiting a mail back from the RAF, after seeing that Eurofighter at Goodwood I was hopeing they'd let me have a drive, can be no more dangerous than Tuscan.rofl
