Can't get enough height using the recommended jacking points at the back so does anyone know if it's safe to jack on the diff casing?

Thanks.

Kieron.

Christ on a bike I wouldn't do that! Surely you can get enough height off the chassis with a decent trolley jack? Unless you're trying to stand upright under the car that is!?

The diff casing, or more likely the diff mounts don't look up to the job IMHO.

Anyone else disagree?

Put your jack on a flagstone.

Thanks for the advice. I'm messing with the exhaust and don't want to use axle stands but rather get some blocks under the rear wheels, and I can't quite get enough height from the recommended jacking points. I've thought about flags but space is quite tight.

I use to have a DB5 and it was perfectly acceptable to put the jack under the diff and that weighed 1600kgs.

Drive the car on to some slabs, wood etc to get some hight this would allow the jack to slot underneath.

I would feel safer with axle stands any day than a hydraulic jack.
