Hi All.

Looking at replacing the seats, wondering if anybody has the back cover for a seat as annoyingly one of mine has just broken right before i wanted to sell them! Thought it would be worth fixing as they are in good condition apart from the snapped plastic back!

Cheers,
Christian

They all tend to be broken to be honest, I know mine were. I changed them for GRP, much better.

Are the GRP seat backs easy to fit or is it a job for an upholsterer?

probably Changing them to the sparco seats they made specifically for the last few TVR's. They are a direct replacement for the standard tuscan seats,, no alterations needed. seat belt still attached to the side of seat etc.

What do you mean by belts that would release? how do they get jammed?

Yep! they arent cheap though... £600 a seat, and they come as a pack meaning - they need to be put together and i also need to get them trimmed! so about 1200 per seat. should get 1200 roughly for mine mind but still v expensive. As i would be getting mine retrimmed anyway which would cost about £1200 i figured id sell them and get some higher quality ones in there with side bolsters that arent made of cheese!

Bloody hell. At 600 a seat untrimmed I'll stick with mine for now. smile

If you're paying 1200 quid to get 2 Tuscan seats re-trimmed you may be going to the wrong places.

Simples smile 4 bolts (2 hidden behind the seat badge) but obviously will need spraying first

Or get carbon ones and it saves you mucking about with trimming or paint.

I'm in this situation now, one of the seat backs has broken and one of the side bolsters is loose so needs a bit of TLC. I'm also going to get it retrimmed over winter so may change the seats altogether. Does anyone have a link or any information about the sparco seats spoken about on here?
