New to the Tuscan scene so sorry for a basic question.

I viewed a 2000 Tuscan today. It had one clear lens front indicator and one opaque. I jumped to the conclusion that the opaque was wrong but a bit of research suggests that this was the original factory fit for the vehicle.

Now, the difference actually makes a significant visual impact so one has to be changed to maztch the other. Given that the opaque one is loose fitting (it moves around when prodded with a finger)would it be wiser to replace it with a clear lens and glue it back in place? If so what is the level of difficulty in this as I have read of horror stories of getting ones arm along the inside of the wing to reach the fitting. Are the parts available?

If the tuscan had clear/white front indicators then they are both not original as it would of had orange units from new, most of us by now have done this upgrade! It is possible that after time the mirror part behind the glass becomes tarnished. As these aren't original you should be able to remove them quite easily, some people just smash the old units out (by hitting inwards) but when I did mine I found a good square hit with my palm (knelt in front of the car and hit the lens from the outside) was enough to dislodge the original orange units.

TVR power and Clever trevor still sell them!

So did you buy it?

No is the simple answer but if after some more digging around for alternatives it is still on the market it would be worth a re-visit.
