1. Why only keep if for 6 months?
2. Hell yeah. That colour blows.

Edited to add: Sorry, misread it as "pantone purple". Paradise purple is yummy.

You should be 7000.00 lighter after a rebuild.
It must be true what they say about the Irish doh!

Fair enough. I quite often do the same, but usually on a 12 month turnaround. The problem with TVRs is that they regularly have teething problems with new owners... there's usually a couple of £ks worth of work that ALWAYS needs doing when you get one. Take your pick of:
Tyres
Tax
Servicing
MOT
Brakes
CV gaiters
Electrical niggles
Leaks
Squeaks

And then there's possibly a major clutch/gearbox/engine job lurking. Over the long term, everything should even out, but you could be in for a short-term sting, even on a "sorted" one.

As Irish Boy asked....

Does anyone have a view as to whether a private sale 2001 Tuscan is a good buy at £22K?

Dependent upon colour, mileage, spec, condition, whether it's had a rebuild (wouldn't buy one at that age that hadn't), then a 2001 Tuscan @ £22k is a good price.

Agreed, if its in good condition etc, for that money its a bargain. You would normally see the higher side of £25K for an average Tuscan of 2000 vintage.
