way to check oil level, when cold?
Discussion
i am not sure about the level of oil that i have in my Tuscan, is there a way to check when the engine is old or only when engine is 60 degree or more?
forgot to mention, the LCD actually very bad... need to change it. but due to that it is a bit difficult to see the temp...
thx

so i did... i have put about 1.25L but still nothing on the dip stick... am i crazy or what....???
i stopped filling because now i am really not sure anymore.
If my engine needs way over 1.5L (stopped at 1.25L but nothing on the dips stick... so...) how it is possible that she has been running kind of normal...

thank you for your help
i have been told that there is actually a flow of oil from the sump into the engine, and from the engine back into the sump, while engine is running.
now, i have been checking that and actually my tuscan does not get the oil flow back into the sump.
i checked this quickly while engine was still cold.
question now is, does this mean that the flow back pump is broke or is this something that i should check when the engine is above 60/65 degree?
please keep in mind that i filled about 1.25L and still no oil on the dip stick but engine running normal (for me)...
thank you

Sorry I can't help mate, but it might be worth posting this under the speed6 section as there are some pretty clever guys in there.....
