Dodgy sellers!!!

Sometimes I just can't quite belive how people have friends let alone sell cars!!! I rang up about a cheap £12k purple mk1 '00 tuscan on Saturday that'd done 40k. I asked if it had had a rebuild or any engine work and was told that he had no paperwork with him, so to ring during the week..that's it! So I rang him back today and got the reply "no, got no receipts for any, and my TVR dealer said he'd never heard of a tvr tuscan needing a rebuild at only 40k miles and he's seen loads well over 100k miles with no problems or rebuids and that it was utter rubbish that it would need one at 40k!"

My reply after a bit of a pause.....right, ok....are you a trader?

Him, no I'm a collector....

Me, right so you're not a dealer or trader then?

Him...were not on the same page are we fella....My TVR man also told me its well cheap and that he sells them for twice that price! What I suggest you do is just go to your bank, get your money out, come down and just buy it as its so cheap!

Me...another long pause...ha ha, erm...riiigghhhttttt, thats not really the way I'll be buying my next TVR, so...does it have full service history then?

Him...yeah its some history, yeah loads, yeah we're not on the same page are we fella???

i am really wondering how long it will take him to sell the Tuscan.
sometimes i have the impression that there is allllllways someone who is more nuts

i have been talking to a guy who was selling a Maserati Ghibli with lots of mayo on the dip stick and a filler that you could not even open ... trust me really just recently done a rebuild...

or once to a Maserati Kyalami (non-runner) for 16k, when they are perfect the sell for the double he said... sure, rebuild will be 20k and the rest... hahahahaha, better to buy the perfect one in the first place

I guess car traders can make lots of money and that is why i am wondering how long it will take them to sell these kind of cars...
