As I am too tall for the current seats (and besides that they give no side support at all imho) I am looking for alternatives : I was told the 350 or cobra seats fit in the Tuscan and solve both ?

Did anyone change his seats (for the same reasons preferebly :-)) ?

I've been looking into this also, this thread is particularly useful:

However after sitting in the T350/Sagaris seats I actually find the Tuscan seats more comfortable. The Cobra seats I sat in were just too narrow for me and the cost of the Sparco seats are almost the cost of a retrim by the time you get them in your car. (circa £750 per seat, untrimmed. You then need to get them trimmed and the fibreglass shell on the back is bare so you'd need to do something with that too.) The issue with changing seats is that the space for the seat to go in is particularly narrow so your choice is limited.

So unless something else comes up I'm getting my Tuscan seats retrimmed in Feb.

Yes - as the originals were just not supportive enough for me.

Not cheap, but of course trimming was not really required so not much in it in total.

They may not look it, but I find them comfortable and not problem on a 3 hour journey - you can also use optional seat pads that you can velcro in.

Also saves about 60kg!!!!

I understand the late Sparco seats are actually slightly higher than the original Tuscan ones as well.

Some people have used Lotus Elise / VX220 seats.

Thanks gys, Quite expensive options though.
Maybe a used 350 seat will be an option or maybe a good retrim company can do anything with changing the stuffing or cushions ?

You should be able to get some money for your existing seats if they are in OK condition.

An alternative could be to remove some foam from the seat pad and seat back. Could help?

graaf,
i'm 6'3", and find the seats surprisingly comfortable, especially noticeable on long journeys. i've recently driven 1700 miles around france, in a week, with no discomfort, and no fatigue!
all i,ve changed is the drivers seat pad, i reduced the thickness by about 1". and i position the seat slightly further forward than i would in a 'normal' car.(not sure why, it just feels right when driving)
i agree with you you that there seems to be no side support, but oddly it isn't noticeable when actually driving.
definitely a cheap option.

Maybe worth having a layer of memory foam in the cushions as well. I've just had mine done and the fact that it moulds to your shape helps the support.
