Has anyone had this done? Did you feel the difference?

Yes I did notice the difference.

But I also had two new tyres on the front.
So which was more significant I do not know.

I have been watching my tyres for wear and so far so good.

(Nearly three months later).

I think that anything that makes the car more true on the road, cannot but help with the handling.

I am having the 4 wheel alignment done this Wednesday at Racing Green I’m hoping to cure an annoying pull in at speed to the nearside. It’s not cheep but if it cures the problem then it will be worth it.

Would be interested in knowing the cost.

Also, is it a continual tug, or is it just a momentary thing? I'm finding mine (even with Nitrons and 4 new tyres) reacts badly to camber changes... especially on the inside lane of dual carriageways/motorways where artics have worn grooves in the lane.

I have a geometry check at least once every 6 months on my Elise...and will do the same on the Tuscan (when it comes back from its summer holiday in Blackpool!)and I run a non factory std geo - no Im not that good to develop my own settings, but in the Lotus world there are quite a few pro/semi pro drivers who have developed settings for specific purposes/cars/suspension & tye combos etc, so its a case of choosing from a menu

Most cars dont even leave the factory with the correct settings, let alone after youve driven them a few months - a few deep pot holes is enough to knock it out.

A decent set-up on a Hunter laser alignment machine can transform the handling of a car - well worth £100-200 (depending on what needs adjusting)

I wonder if anyone who has Nitrons is running revised or factory geo?

Had it done last week at TVR centre and the difference it has made to the car is fantastic.

Before I knew it must be way out as it was very twitchy at the back when chaging lanes, and accelerating and when braking the front would want to go anywhere rather than straight, caused quite a few brown trouser moments.
Now though, it feels very planted. Under braking it keeps going straight with no desire to throw me into the path of oncoming cars. I may soon to be able to stop wearing my nappies when I drive it

Get it done...You know it makes sense.
