Bootlid fit/alignment

Can you adjust the bootlids on the Tuscan? Only I've noticed a few I've looked at don't fit very well, ie up at one side? I like my cars to look neat and straight! So if they can be adjusted then its no problem, but if it just appalling hand made panels then I won't be as happy!

They are adjustable, but they is not much room for adjustment. It's hard to get a perfect fit. Mine is a little upward at the drivers side. Tried, but couldn't solve it completely.
They are handmade cars so you have to deal with some imperfection. On the other hand, isn't that what makes TVR so attractive ?

Its a filler and repaint job
some cars for show and press were done by the factory
offside rear wing to boot lid will be the worst on a "normal" Tuscan

Same on my chimaera, i did wonder if the boot strut bends the boot out of shape over time.

Is the gas strut on a tuscan on the drivers side as well?

It's down to the fact there's only one strut, hence why you'll notice it's always the driver's side which looks to have the bigger panel gap.

I have exactly the same issue (do not want to call it a problem) tried for hours fiddling with the hinges but unable to get it any better it still stands upward a little so I just look the other way now, that helps. Also the gap makes it easier to open the boot behind my spoiler so it is there for a reason. Funny enough I did not have this issue with my previous Tuscan.

..he means you were right in your first post about poorly made panels. The Griffith has the same issue and the only thing that can make 95% of the the lids sit correctly all the way round is to actually modify the panel.
