Anyone got any Cats for sale?
Discussion
Get onto PH classifieds 'parts for sale'.. Hexham Horseless have a job lot of genuine brand new S6 cats at a very good price.
I bought a set earlier this year and they are top notch, Don't take a chance on cheap or 2nd hand cats because if they disintegrate they can cause quite a lot of damage.
Congrats on the new purchase, you will not be disappointed as the Tusc S is a superb car, Get the cats back in and a set of loud carbon cans on it and they sound phenomenal.
Good luck and enjoy.
Ian.

If you only want them for MOT time, and you haven't got an understanding tester, then the cheap ones on ebay work ok. I just stick them in for the test and then remove again as they are pretty flimsy inside, although the casings on the 100 quid each ones I've got are better made than the TVR originals were.

Mine has been remapped at Austec though with the cats removed so I think refitting them full time won't bea good idea, they'll probably be ruined from excessive fuel in no time. But need some for MOT times each year.
Toady,Have a word with Chas at Str8six and get them to get the car MOT'd. No need to spend on Cats if you don't need to.

If its for MOT only and you have an early car, you can get them off ebay or lots of other sites for around £120 each. If its a later car (I forget the cut off date) you need cats with the BSI mark and they appear to be the same but cost about £250 eachblueg33 said:

Mr sagman - you have the same car as me! Ha!
Ha ha they certainly look very similar.. Mine is reflex green (flips between green /purple/ blue.Think yours is reflex purple very slightly more purple... Yours looks gorgeous, looks like you got a bit of a bargain for the price also.
Enjoy.
Yes I love it looks very nice, I think it is reflex purple, though was very green today when I saw it in the sun! There are a few things to do to it but already addressed some of the faults. Hopefully get it back on the road for the weekend! Its a June 2002 car so must have the later type cats.
Str8six is my local indy and I'll be getting it booked in there next week for a 12k. I'll see what he has to say re MOT's.
