Just a quickie.

I had the dreaded window failing to go back up on closing and locking and a delay between the window dropping to open and the door actually releasing.

Took everything apart, swapped ECU's, checked micro switch and sprayed contact spray into all the plugs, no fix.
I resigned myself to the fact that it was a garage job.frown

But just before I started putting it all back together, I noticed how it was gripping on the outside seal that the glass passes through on the door, gave it a quick spray of silicon and hey presto, everything works fine again and all is happy in the Tuscan world again.

So before any of you start dismantling, just give the seals a quick spray of lube and see if it does the job.thumbup

Thanks for this, mines doing the same. Open the door, window goes fully down, pause for a few seconds, then the door pops open! Then shut the door and the window only goes up a few inches! I'll give it a try. Surely spraying lube on the seals makes the window greasy though?

Yes unfortunately it does, so have a cloth and window cleaner and a tub of elbow grease at the ready! Worth it to get the system working properly again!
