Drivers window not going all the way up when locking
Discussion
Christian,
What I'd try first is:
Remove door card and then rubber moisture membrane. This will expose the window mwchanism/all wiring.
On the widow lift motor casing you should see a small circuit board. I'd remove this amd spray electrical contact cleaner onto the contacts.
My understanding is that this 'cicuitry' "counts" the revolutions made by the motor for full closure. I believe they can fail (completely), but mine have responded to the attention as above.
Worth a try?

It happens to me occasionally and I find it's a bit like solving a puzzle (but not as much fun!). Usually sort it out by trying various combinations of locking with window fully down/up/partially up, opening and closing door with ignition on/of and again with window fully/partially down.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Mine opens halfway when you open the door, it then takes slightly longer than usual for the door to open.
the window then drops all the way down.
When i close it it some times goes to the halfway point, it sometimes goes slightly higher but never fully closes.
I will start with the lube on the rubber.... oh er
then the micro switch
then failing that, take the door card off!
Thanks for the help chaps, will let you know what happens!

I've just replaced the window encoder on my drivers side and it's fixed it. The inside of my door was dry, but you could tell the old encoder had been wet at some point as the glue on the back of the circuit board had gone opaque and was easy to remove. The encoder wasn't too bad and once I'd removed said glue (which came off in one lump) an cleaned it up, it worked fine, but I removed it to replace it with the new item and kept as a spare. Easy job to do, apart from getting the door card bolts at the bottom out!!!
