Is there anyone near didcot that can....
Discussion
....let me try out their working heater/aircon ecu to see if mine needs a refurb? I tried my friends but his didn't work at all, then we remembered his doesn't have air con! My heater blower isn't blowing as hard/full power as it should, so would like to try a known working one to rule it fubared or not before sending it off for repair!

Is there anyone else??? Thanks...
If you can wait until Monday 4th Feb, I'll be heading South on A34 having been to STR8Six for my 1000 mile service post rebuild.Spoke to them/Chas today and they hope to have it done in a day...so could be in Didcot area for 5 or 6pm?
One thing I would try before considering the heater ecu is to access the blower motor (via battery compartment - then remove siliconed cover to get to inner wing void) and give it a hefty spray with electrical restorative (I used "FOSPRO"). My blower motor was very intermittent, but a good dose of Fospro into the motor and a clean of connections had it running again.
I guess the variable resistor on the cabin switch might also be dirty/slightly corroded?

Thanks I'll give that a try. I can wait till then to try yours if you don;t mind thanks. It needs to be an air con model though I think as I've tried my friends non a/c unit which didn't work at all.Spoke to them/Chas today and they hope to have it done in a day...so could be in Didcot area for 5 or 6pm?

OK, my car is a 2004 Tuscan S..so with aircon.
My plan is to get to STR8Six for 0830-0900 and allow them to get on with the work. Barring anything unforseen, I should leave at 1630'ish (??). My mobile is 07786 512745.
Keep in touch - we should arrange a meeting place?

Fraxton has got in touch with me and has offered to let me try his, I didn't realise he was as local to me as he is! I'll keep your number to hand until the date you mentioned though just incase I've not managed to meet up with him in the meantime. Thanks,
Liam
Update:- the cause for my heater blower not blowing as hard as it should do was because the polarity of the connections was the wrong way round! All sorted now! Apparently according to the place that did my 12k I had the wrong heater blower in my car, well that proved to be a load of b
ks!!!
