Chaps and Chapesses,

Can anyone tell me what plastic this standard Tuscan S air box is made from, and possibly what the yellowish adhesive is?

I'm going to try to repair this one for a friend prior to him forking out for a replacement and wish to avoid trial and error - particularly as an incompatibility might seem OK with an initial tug/pull but I don't want anything breaking off and going down one of the throttle bodies!

Thanks in advance.

Thank you Martin.

So epoxy based adhesives are ok? I do like Araldite. Top quality stuff!

Hi Jamie. From what i remember its made of the same stuff as the car.Glass reinforced plastic.ie fibreglass. It is repairable with the likes of Araldite(epoxy resin). But an ideal fix would be with the same stuff its made of...Fibreglass.
You can get a repair kit from Half*rds,Made by davids isopon. Its a kit with resin/fibreglass mat/hardener and gloves. You will also need a small tin of body filler to finish it off before you spray paint it.
In the area that this part is used, ideally it should have been made using fire retardant polyester resin. But knowing TVR i doubt it.
