While looking at the classifieds for another car earlier I came and had a look at Tuscan prices out of interest and I've noticed that there's far less of them for sale and they are advertised for a lot more, I let mine go in Summer 2010 for £12.5k and there were a good few around that price and a bit more, now no chance, I wonder if the upward trend will continue?.
Got to say, I still think the Tuscan is one of the best looking cars ever made, it's just a shame my ownership experience was mired by niggles and I had to use it as a daily driver, hang on to them and enjoy them ladies and gents biggrin, right I'm off to continue looking at 911 Turbos, followed by pictures of my old Tuscan, I hope I don't decide to do something I will semi regret and buy another.

I've had the same impression for the last few months but only time will tell.

It is the seasonal effect of poor weather and less cars for sale.
I bought in the summer as there was most choice and the lowest prices.
On here there were 45 or so cars in June and with all that competition and choice the prices were under pressure

Yes, I get the impression that they will start to appreciate, but let's be honest all TVRs have a reasonable top level they will hit.

I think the low mileage 'mk3' reflex charcoal tuscan targa that Str8six sold in the summer for about £40k could be an astute long term purchase.

I agree with you, think the Sagaris has more to go though, I'm not in the market for another, just was curious as to the market, that's not to say I would never have another one though, just not at the moment.

I've always liked the MK1 looks over the MK2, the front end just looks more aggressive in my opinion

It seems the convertibles may have already started going up. Like most things the good are always likely to command a premium.

Have to agree I bought mine (full convertible)almost a year ago and the price has jumped quickly which i think is due to the dealers knowing there are very few convertibles around. I also agree that strange as it seems summer is the best time to buy due to choice and the amount available. When I bought mine there were dealers sitting with very nice convertibles for a good year, as I was looking at least 9 months before I found mine.
It will be interesting to see what this summer brings.

Tuscans are definately rising, absolutely no doubt and will continue to do so- huge amounts of cash. I know this because I sold mine 6 months ago, it's bloody inevitable...

what i dont understand is i see the Mk1's more pricey, I too think they look better......now getting into the low £20k mark for a sorted one..........but this Mk2, one owner with 8k on the clock for 25k from a dealer which i personally think is not bad at all has been forsale for an ice age?

Because it is not an 'S' or something else to do with the spec? In reality though, I doubt this detracts from the experience much and people say great things about the 3.6 anyway. Would be easy to upgrade the brakes too.

If it all stacks up it looks like great value to me.

To get top whack for a targa, it has to be a S?

I don't think its so important on the vert.

and it's the old style dash and wiring. Plus the North of the country is still in a recession smile .
But it will be a good car if Hexham are selling it.

I've always appreciated mine, still nothing else out there for the money.

Kind regards,
