There are a couple of discussions going on at the moment regarding stereo set ups. I have decided to upgrade my standard setup to something a bit more audio-visually appealing.
I plan on changing the rear speakers to something better (I have the factory fitted pioneers at the moment) adding some front tweeters and possibly a sub unit. I have an aftermarket pioneer MP3/CD head unit which is starting to play up.
What recommendations do you have regarding replacing the rear speakers (ideally a straight swop). Recommendations for front tweeters and sub base unit?
As regards the head unit, I have been toying with the idea of getting a Parrot Asteroid, mainly for bluetooth handsfree and decent amplification but with the added bonus of android apps (although there does seem to be a paucity of decent apps for this unit), any other decent head units out there £200 ish?

I've just upgraded my head unit to this,

It does not play CD's but all of my music is on my iPhone which now plays through the stereo, you can get a bluetooth module as well. The only downside to this unit is that the front face does not come off for security.

TBH though 'decent amplification' isnt typical from the HU alone, and from the work i have done you need something pretty beefy to get decent sound in such an inherently noisy car as the tuscan hehe

The HU amps are perfectly fine for running 4 small speakers/tweeters above 120Hz. It's the bass that needs the quality big power. An amplified sub unit will provide all you need in one easy to install unit.
