Hi all. I've noticed the the leather on the small cowling above the speedo (the one with the gear change lights)is coming away, and the cowling itself is only held on by one tiny 2mm bolt and is very loose. Is this an easy job?.and will i need to remove the steering wheel.
Ta very much...Dave

No need to remove steering, just drop the steering wheel down on the height adjustment to make the cowling easier to remove

You'll need to get your hand into the gap and unclip the connector to the shift lights too remember. My cowling is exactly the same, I just adjusted the angle of the steering column so the top cowling is held in place by the top of the dash.

Thanks guys. That don't sound too hard. Do i not have to separate the two main half's of cowling that surrounds the steering column(i can't think of the correct name)To get at the small bolts holding the top cowl on.I'll post a picture tomorrow.

Well,I've done it.Piece of cake.Looks perfect now. This picture was taken before i removed it from the car.Everything nicely stuck back together, and everything working ok Wooopydoo!!!![url]I used kitchen fitters grade super glue.Don't use evo stick,as we all know that contact adhesive hates heat. And the sun beats down on this part all day long. So give it a go eh.
