2 noise-related queries:

- I've also had that flapping noise you get from the rear screen where it makes contact with the boot lid and have `solved' it with Velcro as have many others on here. The only thing is it (understandably) comes loose when wet. Obviously, it needs a good weather-proof glue but I'm worried I might damage the paint work around the area it's applied to. Can anyone recommend a particular brand / type they've used which has been okay?

Plus:

- I've got quite a loud squeak coming from the front steering column area or the front suspension when I go over decent-sized bumps and I can't locate the cause. Anyone else had similar experiences and can suggest a cure or which area needs looking at.

Cheers

I had lots of squeaks from the rear window .. did the velcro thing and it helped....a bit. HHC solved the problem for me by putting stick on plastic strips a couple of mm thick on the inside of the plastic locking clips at the bottom of the window... no squeaks or window 'slipping down' since

I had a squeak/groan noise from the front suspension. I sprayed the shocker bodies and the rollbar connectors with spray grease and the noise went.

I told you not to touch THAT button!

(Amazing how "TVR features" seem funny with the benefit of hindsight, isn't it?!)

Had one bd annoying squeak that took me ages to track down... turned out to be the locking catch at the front of the targa panel. Covered it in insulation tape, and that went away.

Had another even more annoying mouse like squeak from "somewhere at the front" (sounded like steering column) that I couldn't trace. Threw the car into a few near-hairpin corners at 30-40mph in a "well I've tried everything else" moment, and it cured it. Had another squeak from the dash top not being securely held in place, too... that needed removing & refitting.

Car is almost silent now. Apart from the truly evil noise coming out of the exhaust...

No, really, it was THAT loud a squeak! Couldn't hear it above 2000RPM, to be honest...
