Windscreen Wiper Locking Nut

Any one know what size the large flat locking nut is that goes above the scuttle panel on the windscreen wiper drive shoulder.

It looks like a 1" UNF Thin Nut any one know for sure.. mine are fairly rusty.

IIRC my 26 or 27 mm AF socket fits nicely.
