Gearbox rebuild

My friend needs his red rose gearbox rebuilt as his 5th is mashed, where have you guys that have also had a rebuild gone to? What cost is he looking at? Thanks.

I had my gearbox rebuilt on a previous Tuscan I owned it was £750 at a TVR specialist removed, fixed, re-fitted that was about 6 -7 years ago. It had the same mashed 5th gear as yours has.

Thanks, he has already removed it and it's currently stripped down on his kitchen table! ha ha!

He only needs 5th gear and the bearing I think. Anyone know the best place to get the parts?

Thanks for that mate, I think he is sorting him out, all bearings and 5th gear for £250+vat.

Thats very reasonable for the parts....is it a difficult job to do diy???
