Hi guys.

What's the best stuff to use for this? Had a quick search about on the Internet but I presume someone on here has done it before. My chassis is yellowing a little from the manifold heat, although is still perfectly solid, so while the engine is out it makes sense to protect it.

Cheers.

This is supposed to be decent stuff and is similar to material the factory used.

Perfect, just what I was looking for BB, thank you. Opted out of coating manifolds as it seems an expensive job compared to heatshielding which will do nigh on the same thing.

Coating or wrapping the manifolds could prevent heat damage to the body. But could shift the heat further down the line.
You could carefully paint that section of chassis rail in high temp paint which wouldn't decolour.

The chassis rail is pretty tight between manifold and rail.
