There is an interesting article in today's Autocar - 24 Apr 13 (pages 58 and 59) - about the TVR Tuscan which Nikolai Smolenski was developing as the way forward for TVR.....

Matt Prior's Subtitle reads "A Chevy V8-powered Tuscan was nearly the saviour of TVR".

This Tuscan Vulcan, now privately owned, should be at Chatsworth House on Sunday - to see..... and to hear !!

Best Regards, Chas at Str8six (Interest Declared !).

(As its not "For Sale", think this is a justifiable post.....?)

All Smolenski did was fill in the bonnet vents on the Sagaris and fk the staff, the brand and the company.

You would have thought that as the owner of TVR Smolenski would have used a new car and not one that was 5 years old bought second hand from the Piston Heads classified frown .

The DVLA still think its a Red 4 litre car.

Hephaestus: A dark haired man who has difficulty walking due to misformed feet. Some accounts make him small in stature; this may be associated with the hunched-over appearance of mine workers.

A wise choice of "God"? At least he married well; to Aphrodite and father to Pandora, now there's a box-of-frogs 8-))

Would his "feet" be linked to bump-steer ?

Hmmm, short, mis-shapen, but married well. Sounds like an accountant.

Tivs were named after Greek gods rather than the more pie key Roman ones which any student of the Classics knows are just copies.

Although, I thought this car was a second hand Tuscan that Power fitted an LS into? Not sure if Dom or Jason christened it.

Does anyone know the real details?

No the engine was in before Jason acquired it. All the recent work bringing it up to a decent standard has been done by Jason

Dom told me his men worked on the project, but on an hourly rate basis for Smolenski , not as a Power project smile .
