Yesssssss.......Bought a Tuscan...
Discussion
.......been a little over two years since I first flirted with the idea. Actually put a deposit down on one in 2011 but when I happened to show my wife what I was collecting at the weekend she cried. And then got pregnant. Tuscan averted for now.......
Fast forward two years and I started looking again, initially at Cerb's but the more I looked the more I realised the Tuscan was the one for me.
So eventually went to view the one that Str8Six were selling (too nervous to buy privately first time round). Boom. This one was for me - loved the colour, the mad two tone interior, and felt in very good hands with Jason and Chas.
Sorted out the finances and put down the deposit. Excitement was building. The car went in for the 12k service etc and I waited. Saturday 20th was collection
day - just a few days to wait......
Got a taxi out to Str8six in the morning and walked the final 400m just to soak it all in. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and life was good.

Turned up and this little beauty was waiting for me..............

Did the handover/paperwork etc and it was ready to go.
I was shaking. My chest was pounding. I grinned all the way back to London, so much so my face hurt! God these cars are unbelievable...the looks, sheer drama, the pops and bangs on the overrun.....what a package.
If anyone is considering taking the plunge, do it. Life is short...and wives can be bought off;)
A big thanks also to Chas and Jason at Str8six.
One more gratuitous shot........in fact..... I'm going home now for a drive.

I recognise that Tuscan. The previous owner looked after it very well. You have a very nice TVR there.Fast forward two years and I started looking again, initially at Cerb's but the more I looked the more I realised the Tuscan was the one for me.

All the best and many many happy miles!

I love stories like this, There are very few cars that can make you feel the way these things do, Looks like you have bought a cracker there, You wont go wrong with STR86 they are true pro's, and I bet the car will have been prepped to perfection, Just in time for the summer as well, Enjoy.
Thanks for all the positive comments guys - much appreciated
. Just been for a blat and am sporting a bit of sunburn on my forehead!!
so called - the colour is TVR Code 231 Iced Titanium. As with a lot of TVR metallics, looks so good in the flesh and close up. Also, you're dead right re the damp/wet foot. Had a very small moment last night.....
Tuscan Wil - yep, printed out the warm up procedure and keep a copy in the car and on my phone!!
And re Str8Six, yes, one of the best companies I have ever dealt with - they know what I mean

Hi PGN, thanks for the colour info. I've not seen that colour in the flesh. Pity I cant make Chatsworth.
Happy driving.

I've had mine 3 years and I still get excited about driving especially when I can take the roof off.

Or the Brooklands TVR day on sun 12th may?

I've passed on hill climb too, I prob wouldn't brake and land in that big shed at the top.
I hope we start under the wharf, that underground roundabout is great especially with 50+ cars parked up
See u there
