Battery Brain or Isolator Switch?

Hi all.

Was wondering what others had done to remedy the dreaded battery drain from lack of use?

(no I can't use the car more!)

Looked at these battery brains but looked like quite a large unit to fit into a space not large enough for a battery.

There is the battery isolator switch.... but where would I put it?

What have others done?

I had a battery Brain in my first Tuscan and thought it was great.
I used to have to leave mine in a German Airport and 9 times out of 10 the battery would be flat after 2 weeks.
The Car Park people were realy pissed with me after 2 years

I had the Brain fitted as per photo's in the passenger foot well.



It had a remote fob. I used to park up, lock the car as normal, then activate the brain to disconnect the battery.
When I would get back it was the reverse, deactivate the brain and then unlock the car.
The battery was always full of beans after it was fitted.
Pitty I killed that Tuscan only about 4 months later

Thinking of getting one for the Tuscan I have now.

My opinion was that they are very good.

If you go the battery isolation route, im pretty sure you will invalidate the theft element of your insurance...
