I've been with Taylor Henderson for the last few years, I've decided not to run my car this year... probably due to the crappy weather at the start of the year, and to keep the mileage down.. anyway, When I came to renew my policy, I was told that my mileage bracket was no longer available, nor did they like the fact that I might like to drive to work (on the off chance that the weather might be glorious on the two days a week that I work) so, my new premium was going to be slightly more than double for 2013/2014...

Really?

So, that prompted me to ask my friends on Pistonheads.. who are you with, and what are they like?

Many thanks

Dan

Mannings by far the cheapest for me. Cover seems very good (track days, agreed values etc). Cracking service from Gyles.

Just got a new policy with classiclineinsurance - 5k annual limit and track day cover included - very reasonable - same as my VX220!

I've just insured with Mannings... Excellent service, 5K miles, with my son as a named driver (he's 26) The Tuscan is a 4.3L and the premium, which includes track days, was just £490

I'd reccomend them any day.

:-)

Switch between mannings and classic line. Currently classic line at about £210 with 5k mileage.. Standard speed 6 and 33 years old.

Snap. Mannings here too.

Central London. £1000. 6k miles. Not on a classic policy

Another vote for Mannings here. On classic policy, 5k mileage, track day cover, £100 excess, cost £400.

Just switched from Direct Line to Adrian Flux. £400 with a market price guarantee of £20k. 9 years NCD and under 40. Very Happy.

Privilege, £360 inc breakdown and euro cover. Though depending on the age of the car (if over 10yrs) I'd give R&H a go - they were great with my chim, Tuscan not quite old enough yet for their classic policy (no no claims required either).

Am sure they're fine, I just personally prefer dealing with a friendly human being.
