Window Woes

My driver's side window has been playing up recently. It opens only part way when pushing the interior button on the radio pod, waits a few seconds and then the door opens followed by the window dropping again. I thought this was probably due to a duff encoder, so I fitted a new one, but it's still doing the same thing. Any ideas?

If it isn't the encoder (most times it is), try the microswitch and swapping the door controllers.

Tried the micro switch, that seems to work. I haven't swapped over the door controllers yet ( do you mean the window encoders, if not where are the door encoders?).

i had the same problem, switch the door ecu's, located under the center console, with each other. if the fault moves to the other door its the ecu. http://pselectronicsolutions.co.uk/repairs.html repaired mine costs around £50-60.
