Dear all - my drivers side door is rubbing the paint off roughly below the b pillar area. Any ideas how to adjust the door slightly up to stop it sitting on the bodywork?

I guess the search option is still down?

I did a bit of a write up a couple of months ago to the same Q. Maybe try the Google search?

The 'hinge' bolts/allen cap bolts are under the carpet in the footwell each side.
So - peel back carpet and slacken cap bolts JUST enough to allow door to move in the vertical plane. I'd then close door, maybe with a sliver of thin (rubber/folded paper?) packing on the cill to lift to the correct/desired height. Remember, you want the 'mushroom' on the door to still engage in the lock striker.

Once you've faffed around and got everything aligned, then with the door shut again, reach over from pass side to nip up the cap bolts. Open door and harden up on the bolts. Job done!

You can do all that .... ( Like I did) or I found that you can just adjust the metal bar thingy on the end of the car door . that will allow you to move it up so the door will seat lower smile 5 min job

Quick tip; when you're playing around with the door alignment, put some masking tape or similar around the pinch points ie: the chrome lockpin mechanism thingymabob! It'll save some scraped paintwork!
