About to buy a new radio/cd/...player in my Tuscan.

I want it to play tunes from my ipad/iphone while also charching these things through the same(one)cable.

What to buy and what's best bang per buck?

Thanks,
Filip

PS: could it be that all 4 speakers went at the same time or that a fuse blew inside the radio as it seems ok but no sound...?

I have a Kenwood in mine with an ipod connection, works really well and not too bling and a good sound. I like a bit of Adele and ACDC, in fact I like most things, but I like to have the music on even if it is drowned out by the engine most of the time. Good on long trips as well to drown out the screaming from the passenger........

I put a new Alpine in mine but I cant remember the model number.
It has a lead for the i-phone for music and charging.
There's also a mike and bluetooth hands free for calls.
It cost about 100 quids.

i stuck an alpine in my mine, ipod only no CD player. Complements the interior of the tuscan very nicely. I had a colour screen and showed all track/ cover info from the ipod screen. very easy to control- the central dial acts exactly the same way as the click wheel on the ipod.

That looks quite swish and good value. Mine's got I assume the original Pioneer. No manual and haven't bothered playing with it.

Would swap it for a nice easy to use unit that plays the tunes on my iPhone and does hands free.

That said more than happy to listen to the engine.

This looks like it ticks just about every box...

Anyone got one?

Try a search for Parrot, i'm sure i've seen a post somewhere on PH reviewing it. I seem to remember it was OK, but by no means perfect. Specifically there were issues with the apps.

Keep them coming I have to replace mine at some point. Is DAB still good to have, will these radios fit the existing wiring and ariel, I thought a DAB unit had a specific dab ariel?

Went to look at one today at Halfords as they're on special offer.

The lack of DAB put me off. When analogue has gone all you're left with is internet radio which can end up costing a fortune if you haven't got the right phone package.

Not too fussed about the apps as I don't think I'd use them but quite a few seem to be struggling with freezes, slow boot ups etc. I'd like to be able to turn the key and listen to the thing. Not wait for it to boot up.

How hard can it be? A DAB radio that when you turn the key behaves like a radio with hands free, Nav and iphone/ipod functionality.

Looks good but again no DAB.

Am I getting my knickers in a twist over nothing re this?

Isn't Government set to turn off analogue radio in the nest two years making these units obsolete.
