Mk1 are in price range from 15000 to 20000 pounds,
Mk2 are starting from 23000, are they so much better?

Is a Mk 2 4.0"S" a special one?

Still love the interior and instruments much more from MK 1,
the Mk 2 is a bit ugly, but a lot people wrote that built quality is much more better.
Is this true?
Also suspension shall be better, but one wrote yes, others made modifications
to get car more planted?

Or is every car different?

MK 2 (personally speaking) is wwwaaayyyyy better. I have had both.

Mk1 = ill handling, poorly built upturned pedalo.
Mk2 = decent handling, far better screwed together and generally a nice place to be.

This is only my own personal experience, but my Mk1 4.0 was a horror show of a car. My Mk2 'S' is a sweet thing (helped in no small part by the previous owner taking very good care of it!).

Driven both, owned an Mk1.

For looks, the Mk1 is better IMHO, but is not as well planted as the Mk2.

However, I would prefer the Mk1.

Never owned or driven a MK2, but always preferred them aesthetically to the MK1, both inside and out. I have to say though that I would class my '01 Tuscan as (reasonably) well built, certainly compared to my old Cerbera. Very tricky close to or at the limit, mind.

Preferred the mk1 headlights and dash so went with a mk1 with the intention of getting new shocks and steering adjusted - hoping for the best of both!

Is it that relevant now though?

Both cars are getting older so a mk1 with upgrades can I am told be as good or better.

I prefer mk1 front but prefer mk2 rear.

With you on that one but add a Typhon grill. My ideal car then.

With regard to the handling, if you'd seen the racing green tuscan demo car at goodwood tag11 you'd notice it was probably the fastest thing going round the track.

The winstanley v8 sagaris was running and it didn't look as quick.

Bang per a buck I can't think of anything that comes close to a mk1 tuscan.

MKII S is in a different league, very close to a Sag in terms of handling and built quality.
Before I preferred the look of the MKI but now I thing the MKII looks better. But that's personal.

Prefer the lights of the MKI but the body of the MKII; might have them converted some time, maybe like the Typhon/T400 lights...

MK1 "S"s are more sorted than standard Mk1s, hence they attract a higher price!

The mk2 CONVERTABLE S is Special two thumbup

To question, my convertible is better build quality than my early Mk1 was but on the handling, it took longer to get my Mk2 right than the Mk1.

Tuscan handling from when they left the factory or dealer varied massively car to car

it was never sorted because they spent all there time trying to stop the motor self harming

Not a fan of the Speedsix are you Walford wink

I still can't get in my head what changed between Mk1 and MK2 suspension. The Mk2 didn't have the wider track, different pickups or modifications to the chassis did it? I know they worked hard on the dampers and springs, but most cars are on different suspension now anyway?

Most cars are running spacers and better tyre combinations, and most are running the mods of the slightly later Mk1's?

In terms of better finish, what actually changed. Was it the materials, the dash build or just the feel. Was there more leather, better carpet, did they change anything on the seats or were they the same?

That silver Mk3 is sweet though.

the LS V speed6 thing is just banter,

MK1 had Harvey Bailey dampers and springs .... MK2s Bilstein and Eibach springs and a lot more refinement by Ben Lang.
MK2 has a slower steering rack (worm gear thread) so not as sensitive on the steering.

IMHO the Mk1 is THE Tuscan.
