Fading lcd dash display

Hi, i have recently replaced my dash lcd display which had the missing lines. However, with the new display it fades to nothing when the inside of the car heats up. Today in the hot weather it was completely blank. Does anyone have any advice?

Mine does that. Go into sttings and try lowering the brightness and the contrast should increase. Well mine does anyway, good luck.

Ok, thanks. I'll try the brightness setting.

On mines it has started not lighting up, at all. Can read the display characters easy enough in daylight but with the LCD not lit, at night it's impossible to see anything.

Any suggestions?
