I'm going to replace the brake fluid tomorrow, I've done it before and I'm sure I had to bleed the clutch but for some reason I'm having a brain block hehe

So just flush through the fluid by bleeding brakes or bleed brakes then clutch?

Hi,

bleed the brakes and clutch for a complete replacement of the brake fluid.

Ok, had a nightmare, just would t bleed, the brakes were ok but not the clutch! Soo much air in there.

Went and got the easi bleed and what a revelation! Really easy and done in no time. Got to test later but seems good. Thanks for the advice smile

Ok maybe not that easi

We t to use the car today and the brake pedal is spongy!

So I bled again, and again and again..... I even used the pedal push and open bleed nipple in conjunction with the easibleed and its still spongy.

Wtf is that all about? The brakes bled fine yesterday without the easi bleed giving a solid pedal, the easibleed really only helped with the clutch.

Gutted now as got a gopro for my birthday last week and wanted to go out and test today. Str8 6 are collecting tomorrow for a service but won't have back for 2 weeks frown

Hi Jasper, Just a thought, did you bleed both nipples on each front wheel?

Yes mate both nipples
I do rear passenger, rear drivers, front passenger then drivers front.

It's weird because when bleeding there is no air coming out at all.

The only thing I can think is that somehow the master cylinder has to gone. I've done it before manually without easibleed and it was easy. This time god only knows what's happened.

I'm sorry to ask again but have you bled the four front as well as the two rear calipers?

I give three sharp applications of the pedal to build up sufficient pressure to force out the trapped air from the system before the bleed screw is opened and shut quickly and the pedal is not released until the bleed screw is closed. I cant make this link work automatically but if you copy and paste into google search you will see. Read "Bleeding Process".
