Tuscan S aircon not working
Discussion
Uwe refers to the "Trinary Switch".
Classic indication of failure of this component is that the drivers side rad' fan comes 'ON' as soon as you turn ignition on.
I reckon that a GOOD aircon chap could diagnose any problems.
Couple of things: does the compressor clutch 'engage' when you click down heat setting knob to bring the blue led indicator on? If the compressor is not running then you wont refrigerate the air. Non running of compressor indicates low gas charge...you may have a refrigerant leak...A good aircon specialist should - evacuate system, hold vacuum for 30 mins(?)to check for leaks, then refill system with exact amount of refrig' gas and lubricant.
Have you got rotary knob thingy under pass. side 'shelf' turned fully clockwise? Knob has small capillary p/work attached.
I'm not 100% certain, but has the heater ECU been changed...and is it for an aircon car? Don't know whether this applies though.

I know you have said S but on Mk1 passenger side Bulkhead behind carpet below dash there is a thermostat with a capiliary tube leading off somewhere just bridge that stat and see if Air-Con works info in here.
