Never driven a Tuscan before, loving the car,but have noticed the P A S makes an audible whine all the time. Is this normal ???57 reg car with 7500 miles on the clock

It's an electric pump that drives the hydraulic PAS unit rather than being powered directly from the engine.

Mine makes a whine when doing slow speed parking etc or when stationary with full lock applied which is totally normal, but it's not loud and to be honest if you've got a warranty then it's worth getting checked out.

Oh and well done on making the best choice of car thumbup

Have you checked the level as mentioned above. PAS does make noise when level low!!!!

half full is o.k.
If you fill up more it spills out when getting warm
Check if pump is working when no steering is used, then you have a electrical fault
in control box.
Pump is only working when needed
