Rare cars, prices going up. What else can you get for the money that's so much fun and so exclusive!. Would be mad to sell.

Got mine via an add in the sprint. So worth a try and free if I remember right. What are you looking for, convertible or targa top, dash, wavey or earlier type. S or standard. 2005 to 2006 held a lot of changes so homework needs to be done in advance. Good luck.

Yes it certaily looks nice I'm surprised it's hung around this long to be honest. Perhaps the interior colour?

I think this is overpriced to be honest, which is probably why it hasn't sold. The red one at HHC was arguably more attractive and went for quite a bit less.

Sorry if the owner is on here, but just my own opinion.

I'm completely flexible to be honest. Had three Tuscans so far. A mk1 4.0 red rose, mk2 3.6 coupe and another 3.6 coupe. So anything mk2 or 3, coupe to convertible, 3.6 to 'S'.

As is always said on here, the cars are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them.
Bespoke Performance did recently sell a black S convertible a month or so ago, priced at £45k! yikes Perhaps tellingly, it was for sale for no more than a couple of weeks.

When I was looking for one almost 3 years ago, they would pop up for sale infrequently.

It was a rare Tuscan 2 covertible that I wanted, and therefore decided very early on in the process that mileage, number of owners, exterior colour etc were all unimportant factors to me

There's been a few on Autotrader recently that haven't appeared on Pistonheads. James Agger has this one advertised at the moment.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2013...

I think if your keen and in a position to buy you probably have to approach people like James Agger, Str8Six or Racing Green and express an interest. I'm sure many are selling without having any need to be advertised at all.

I'm very, very tempted to sell my 355 with a view to buying a Tuscan 2 Convertible. Really do think they are a modern day E-Type. Should have bought one 3 years ago instead of the 355 when you get them for about £30k. Don't think I'm going to have that opportunity again!!

There seems to be quite a lot of difference in prices where the dash is a baboon arse one, not very well received when first lunched same to be said with the 3.6 power unit, so a 3.6 with the baboon arse dash will not attract top money...
Please don't flame me its just the facts

To answer the original question - they're rare and the owners know how good they are so keeping hold of them. I knew that not many new cars were being sold when I bought mine (my contribution to keep TVR afloat) but according to HowManyLeft suggests there were only about 30 Mk2 S Targas sold. I suspect the balance of the S's in 2006 onwards were convertibles. So for all the people that don't like the "baboon arse" dash - don't worry there weren't many made. btw I think the ergonomics of the LCD display and controls on the steering wheel are excellent.

Once sorted they are very good cars; I'm hanging on to mine.

Fully confirmed, i bought a MK2S 3 months ago, better build quality all over and much better steering
feeling as my early MK1.
The Mk2 "S" new price was 10.000 quids higher than the normal 4.0!
I love the big spoilers.

The last MK2s TVRs have been sold for over 35000 pounds this year.
Not easy to find one!
