I need to remove the bonnet to refit the lefthand wiper arm which has come loose.

Has anyone any ideas as to how about doing this, is it straight forward or is it best left alone?

Thanks in advance.

I actually helped the man from the RAC do this once. You will really need 2 people to be sure not to damage the paintwork.

Lift the front bonnet. you will find 2 bolts right at the very leading edge of the main bonnet and 2 slightly further back (one each side in both cases). Once theses are undone and removed there are 2 slide bolts underneath the bonnet (again one each side) near the trailing edge of the bonnet at the windscreen. Push these in and pull the bonnet up while pushed in.

The whole main bonnet now lifts up and away and that's where you really need 2 people.

Good luck.

If it is just to tighten the wiper arm, release the bolts etc as described in the previous post but you do not need to lift the bonnet of, simply lift the edge nearest the windscreen and put a block of wood or similar underneath and this will give you plenty of access to refit the wiper arm.
