my baby has gone to sleep for the winter as from today. i've spent 2.30 hours on it, by cleaning and polishing inside, washing and polishing the paintwork including the rims. it's all shiny and lovely. backed up in garage, and lifted of the floor on to the jacks, and coverd with car cover, and on a trickel charger. i've done approx 4000 miles since march.

I can appreciate the idea with how many crap weather days we tend to get, no way I could resist a blast on the odd crisp sunny ones though! =)

Mines tucked away with mere dozens of miles this year, I've not had time to use it at all, but at least it's moved, again the smart roadster has done nothing this year!

I too enjoy a wintery blast, roof off on a nice crisp dry day, and the possibility of being spotted smile

If your cars are going away for the 'winter', fancy updating the wiki with your mileage and any notes?

Wow...some people don't drive their car in the Winter. yikes

I appreciate all the arguments about 'road salt' and 'hollow tubular chassis' and 'poor handling allied to a lack of driver aids' but jeez...its a feckin car...they're meant to be driven!

Stop being so precious about it and get out there people! driving

Still driving mine and will continue to do so until the ice or salt become a reality. Mine was off the road for about 6 weeks this summer for various maintenance issues so I am going to get my moneys worth out of it.

Mine is having a mini-hibernation at Bespoke, while the engine is with Power and growing to 4.3. I love it when they hibernate and come back stronger... smile

i'd love to that, park it in someone's garage for the winter, and them work on it to modify and upgrate, but i want to keep it as orignal as posible.

I did think about keeping mine original, and I do love the 3.6 engine. It has over 40k miles now and I fancied a change. It doesn't make any kind of financial sense, but when did that ever make a difference...

Agreed. Mine's taxed and insured until May. In May I'll tax and insure it for another year.

i agree, if you got it then flont it. but for me i want to use it spearingly, reason beeing is,if i use it throughout year, then it will get abused mostly, in winter months ie,wear and tear quikly, and the body will have many stone chips and scraches, hear and their, plus the interior, and most of all racking up mileage.so mine will be in mint or in good condition with low mileage, and probebly will hold the value. imo.
