not getting any spark of any kind...... the aa seemed to think after several tests it was the crank sensor. that has been changed to no change in the starting front.. anyone had a coil pack go down? might just order 2moro as im meant to be going to brands hatch on monday.

It could be the ignition fuse which is No17 & rated at 15 amps, I belive in some earlier cars this was prone to blowing as was initally only 10 amps.

I'm certain it was 15amp initially then changed to 20amp.

I thought there were 3 coils, one per pair of cylinders?

Could it be the Immobilisor playing up and not freeing up that circuit?

only the one coil unit bolted on the block..... think it might be the fuse tho.... found it was not blown but broken in half. thanks for the fuse number meant i could find it without searching the whole lot.... right off home soon to put the car back together and try it.....

thanks steve

mmmmm the fuse did kind of solve the problem.... it now starts BUT isnt runnin properly... maybe time for a re-build me thinks fuel from 4,5,6 seems to be heading down the exhaust instead of burning in the cylinder.....

If you have been trying to turn engine over
previously it may just be that a couple of
the spark plugs are fouled.pull em out and
give them a clean.

know where your coming from but these have been changed since the problem started.... will remove all yet again and have another go before shipping the car off somewhere for a nice bill....
