Hi Ian, the 911 was traded in for the Tuscan, it would make an ideal STR8 Six courtesy car,to answer some questions the handling of the MK1 is sharper/firmer than the MK2/3 with quicker steering otherwise very similar.

John/Alex see you guys at the Xmas bash at the Red Lion if there is room? Have recently moved to a small village near Marlow so not local anymore.

Alex any chance of putting a power assisted ashtray on the project list? wink

Ah, I see you are in Bucks now, well, you still can't escape biggrin

Have a chat with Joe (sure you remember him - S2 owner), he's working with
me now to look after Bucks. I updated the Bucks website with the meeting details
I know of.

I owned that car for a little over 5 years. Bought it from a pistonheads member & sold it to one!
Hope it treats you well!

Alex, am keeping well, see you at the Xmas bash on the 11th,good choice of venue by the way! You bringing the Sag along?

Do remember Joe, will catch up at the next Bucks meet.

Phil, Tvr community is a small one indeed, like your sales contract for the 3rd owner Ben? its tighter than two coats of paint cool you looked after it well, why did you sell it?

Gordon, still looking for a decent pub, have been carrying out extensive research on the wrong side of the bar, come along to the Xmas do! beer

Walford, what does KPI mean is it something to do with peanuts?

These smileys are simply nuts

I sold the car mostly because my job meant I was only using it once at the weekend to go to Sainsburys and my parking space alone was costing me £1,800 a year (that's Central London for you).

When I first bought the car, I had just taken redundancy and my parking costs were £1,000 a year. Being able to use it 7 days a week meant that was much better value!

Serviced it religiously, installed the audio system upgrade myself (the speaker box on the back shelf was the first thing I ever made in fibre glass).

Had two clutch slave cylinders go with under 12 months of each other and my extended warranty refused to pay for either of them - the first time they claimed it must have been a problem before I took out the warranty and the second time, they claimed it was wear & tear which wasn't covered. We're not supposed to name & shame here, but I wouldn't ever buy a 3rd party warranty again. TVR Barnet had just gone into liquidation, so wouldn't honour a 12 month warranty on the first fix. Never raced it, and always looked after it - I hope Ben did the same for you.

My pistonheads profile still shows the Tuscan as I'm too ashamed to show my Ford Focus (which happily lives in the street), and I can't figure out how to just remove the photo without replacing it.

Interesting Phil, my old Tam was in at Tvr Barnet at the same time for an engine/gearbox rebuild and was honoured under warranty, on another occasion the clutch on the T2 targa was not honoured under warranty, your Tuscan had another clutch replaced at a French garage, must have been a bad era for Slaves wink all seems to be a lottery, would only use an in-house warranty these days.

Liking the bespoke stereo fitting, have yet to work out how to use it properly, your always welcome to pop over and have a spin in the Tuscan driving

Would borrow someone elses pistonheads profile photo, believe thats what the schoolkids do these days! byebye

Remember, Steve Moore, who had the green Griff?

He recently changed to a Tuscan Mk1 as well. Have a chat with him about his experiences.
