Went out in the car a few days ago and noticed the passenger floor mat was sodden. Took it out to dry and there was about 1/2" of standing water at the front of the footwell. Dried the car out and gone back to it today and the water is back.

I've checked the door, window and roof seals and they all appear dry.

Any idea where my mystery spring has come from?

Was the car driven or just parked outside when the water returned? I assume it has been raining?confused

Then it has to be a seal, could be hard to find as it could be coming from anywhere and just ending up in the footwell.
Obvious I know but leave all the carpets out and get a friend and a hose pipe.idea

Yeah, that's the way forward I guess. Just seems like an awful lot of water.

The only place i can imagine it coming from is under the dash.

On the bright side it's holding water well so whilst it may leak in it doesn't leak out laugh

Nope still suffering, have covered it up. Will get out with a watering can and another body when I get chance.

I have noticed that the windscreen rubber at the bottom of the screen is coming away on that side so that looks like a potential candidate.

Could be, although I've just had all my seals replaced and now the car leaks whereas it didn't before.

Also noticed that the vertical carpet by the sill kick plate area is wet whereas all other vertical carpet is dry. Could be the door seal.

Guys, ours has been leaking through the roof seal. Water builds up in the gap until it overflows into the car. I have got a new seal but just haven't fitted it yet...

Thread resurrection time frown

Did you get a resolution to this Mart?

I've had a new hoop seal fitted and I'm still getting a pool of water in the passenger footwell.

I would check the drains holes in the bottom of the door are not blocked. I had this exact problem. The water level inside the door builds up to the point where it leaks out under the bottom of the door card straight into the foot well. Because brush strip that "seals" the window on the out side of the car is useless - small twigs and leaves and other gunk gets in through it and blocks the drains.

Other places are - the drains under the heater air boxes on the passenger side. These can block as well as there is no air filter for the blower and it can makes its way in through the ventilation pipes. It is tedious removing these air boxes as the scuttle panel has to also come off and the screws that hold them in have usually rusted.

Check to see if the scuttle panel has been screwed down in the corners nearest the windscreen as was the case on my car these screw holes were letting in water - they should not have been there so I just sealed them.

Fitted the seal weeks ago but its not been parked out in the rain yet, no leaks whilst driving it tho. We're off to europe on the 26th, so going to miss RFH by a day!! Hope you get the leak sorted and have fun on the tour.

Cheers Chris. Drain holes both sides are clear. I've poured water down between door and glass this morning and it merrily runs out of the drain. I'll have a look at the other areas. It seems to come in around the metal kick plate, that bit of carpet is wet.
