Central TVR are offering day time running lights fitted to the main grille (see pic below). What does everyone think.. Good, bad, ugly?

Has anyone found crystal lenses for the Side lights?

I hate day time driving lamps.

They are bad enough on cars that were designed to have them, but In my opinion even worse on cars that have them fitted at a later date.

I rather like the look of them as they are a bit different from the usual strip of running lights that many cars have. The main issue I have with them is that they give the illusion the car is not as wide as it actually is - thus defeating the main purpose of them as I would still use my normal lights as well any how.

The other issue I have is that I'd be tempted to install a switch that changes them to run from left to right Knightrider style wink

Surely the best way is to upgrade the lamp fittings themselves with properly engineered items from Hella. For example, change the dipped beams for bi-xenon units, then in the place of the old hi beans units, put in LED drl units. At least these are a properly engineered genuine lighting upgrade, and not some half arsed tacky looking stick on led strips.
See here: http://www.myhellalights.com/index.php/download_fi...

Or just replace the existing sidelight fittings with a couple of these wired to come on with the ignition.
