Just driven through the first snow of winter yep only 18th Nov ! , very entertaining as my first snow drive in the tuscan scary - however half way through trip bloody heater stopped blowing hot air and just kept blowing freezing air at me.

Tried fiddling with knobs etc but still only cold air - ie system is working but not heating.

Any ideas - dealer replaced ECU for this bit 3months ago and did work until today - but not sure parafin heater is safe so any ideas welcome please !

Try resetting the heater ECU by removing the large multiplug(with ignition off obviously) and leaving for a couple of minutes.

Mine's been a pain in the @rse for some time.

Possible reasons:-

- pipe under passenger side dash has come away
- stepper motor is stuck, and not turning the valve when you turn the knob
- big black box under dash near passenger door is broken (ecu)

Sounds daft I know, but turn on the wipers a couple of times and see if it makes a difference. (I'm not joking)

Good luck.

My heater always seems to reset itself to the same temp setting whenever the engine is switched off no matter where the temp dial is (though I appreciate this may not be your problem if it changed halfway through your journey).

To correct mine, I need to twist all the way to cold, wait for the air to start coming out, and then twist back to the setting I actually want.
