Just saying hi. Back in a Tuscan after nine years in a T350. Looking forward to some open top motoring... when it stops raining.

Hi! Here she is

Treacle is a late build mk2 S. I was up at Bespoke Performance talking about selling my T350 and Martin lured me into the showroom. Bother!

Thank you! Yes I see myself hooning by day and polishing by night. Can't wait for the weather to change, I loved my T350 but I missed that Tuscan presence and the open targa and rear window and the view down the bonnet and the curves ... oh my the curves. : )

That Martin at Bespoke! It is the upgrades he keeps talking me into... I did cast my eyes over your car at Bespoke and it really is a beauty! I hope you get a lot of fun with it - If we ever get the weather!

Thank you Sumo, yes that Martin needs watching. I used to have a stock T350, then I had a 4.3 TVR Power upgrade, then Ohlins, then SP12's, then an ACT carbon air box, and then....

He has already made hints about making my new numberplate more honest.

Oh my... i always said the Mk1 Tuscan was the best looking but that sir, is a fine machine !! I am jealous ! lol If i could afford it, theres a nice Mk2 S on autotrader but its 30k.. sadly a bit beyond my budget !! But after seeing that.. if i could.. i possibly would !

Thank you Billiam, kind of you to say. There are plenty of stunning mk1's about to enjoy and in many ways the mk 1 is the more classic design. The great thing about TVR's is that any model is exotic compared to mass manufactured cars and way more fun to drive and own.

Congrats on your new car, it looks lovely, as a fellow owner I can vouch for the fact that they really are fantastic carssmile

Your car intrigues me a bit, the factory closed in Dec 2006 and the last of the line tuscan 'S's had the wavy dash (from the convertible) and had a much smaller rear boot spoiler etc. Where was this one hiding to be registered so late?!

Fingers crossed for dry and better weather soon!

Hi. Yes its got a unusual history. It was bought from the factory by a dealer after the shut-down and finished by them. Its contemporary with the mk 3's but for reasons unknown fitted with the mk2 dash. Bespoke have looked it over and its in great shape, the finishing assembly looks to have been meticulous. So its a mk 2 dash on one of the last ones built but that doesn't bother me.
The spoiler is the standard S spec - the smaller spoilers were on the non-S cars.

Nice Noble by the way!

Congratulations on the purchase and to buying the best type of Tuscan biggrin

I'm glad to see this one has sold as it was fairly top money, but the T2's deserve to be dragged up a bit now that decent mk1's are low 20s!

Looks like a nice colour for it too, quite subtle but the curves of the mk2 do suit such colours. What are the plans for the year then? Keep it as is? or any upgrades already in sight?

Hopefully will see this at some of the bigger events!

Cheers Mr Chips. The pain of the price was offset by the price on my old car. Sagaris prices are spreading the love.

As for what's next yes I have plans. I am going to live with the car for a little while to asses its handling. The Dom has been contacted just in case I find the stock 4L a little light on the Blackpool donkeys compared to my 4.3. I was very impressed with the 4.3 in a T350. Early days yet though : )

Definately a non-conformists car ! Which i like.. same as my Alfas, i drive to work and rarely i will see another 156 or GTV on road and when there are, odds of them being a V6 are pretty slim.. i like this !

Good luck with the car, fingers crossed i will message as a fellow owner sometime soon !!

Ah ha.. thank you ! Im getting a bit impatient as when the weather breaks - prices will raise no doubt.. but i know i cant buy any old thing and so have to bide my time..

And i think Alfas and TVRs kinda come hand in hand, if you like one, you will like the other !! A world apart these days but its being born from racing pedigree that sets them apart from alot of other manufacturers.. my 156 is a genuine pleasure to drive to work everyday and i still enjoy the fact, you dont see many.. TVRs even less so !! Dont know if that makes me unique.. or just plain stupid ! haha
