Door seal cut outs

Anyone got any pictures of the cut outs required in the rubbers?
Can you just cut a vee in the outer rubber?
The old rubbers just seem to have been mullered with a heat gun by the garage that did it previously (not pretty)
Cut outs? What cut out's. I've just renewed mine.I never had to cut anything out.Do you mean along the bottom of the door opening? Can you just cut a vee in the outer rubber?

By lowering the outer lip of the seal any water that gathers in the slot naturally runs to the outside of the car.
But why is it gathering? Surely the water on the outside side of the seal would run from the targa panel down the seal, on the outside, and naturally flow off the sill? Is this a preventative measure for cars that do not reside in a garage to prevent water from building up from leaky seals and water ingress to the cabin?Gassing Station | Tuscan | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
