Advice please. My rear suspension squeaks when driving and also if I push down on each rear wing when stationary. Might this mean there is a fault worthy of fixing?

It is possible that the bushes are causing the squeek, try squirting WD40 on them to see if it will go away. If not could be new damper time.

my 300ZX used to do this. It was the rubber gromet protector thing on the damper which had perished. It never seemed to affect the suspension that I noticed though (i.e. damper still worked) so I just lived with it.

Hmmm. I have just taken my Tuscan out of hibernation and noticed some squeaks from the rear suspension. But come to think of it, they were there prior to the last service at the factory. I live in a particularly hilly location and get the squeaks on the more uneven roads or coming around tight turns on hills. I would have thought if the bushes were past their sell by date that the factory would have highlighted this ( less than 150 miles since major service ).

So, would I assume that the rubber bushes just need a spot of thick grease on them then? Anything I should be looking for in particular? ( dampers seem OK and as per normal ).
