Had a right battle getting these out yesterday to get my Gaz shocks off. The lower nut is behind the drag link bolt so you can't get a spanner to it, ended up modifying an offset ring spanner so I could get the bolt out.

Anyhow, the reason for the post is to check what size these bolts are. I'd read a post that said "two M19 spanners and they're off" and then that the bolts are 1/2 UNF at 3 and 3/4" length. Obvious clash there of metric and imperial, and my head says that by 2000 TVR should have been using metric fixings (my other head says it's TVR so it's anyone's guess smile)

Can anyone confirm just what size the bolts are and who supplies them. TVR Power and the other usual websites don't show any, sheng is shut down now. If I can get the sizes I'll just go to Namrick and get 12.9 versions.

Thanks in advance

J

Older cars were 1/2" unf, looks like TVR carried that on to the newer models?

1/2" bolt = 3/4" spanner which is near as damn it 19mm

That is the right size for the lower front shock mount.
