Yes you all got it, Socks and aftershave. I will have to buy the carpets myself, Just thought I would post a thread on replacing the carpets, To remove the old ones is not that bad for most of it, Remove the seats took about 10 mins, remove center console 10 mins, remove the two rear cards where the seat belts go, just remove the 4 speaker screws and the card slides up and out, 15 mins, pull out the old carpet from the back to front, had to use a scraper on the glue 30 mins, whats left it the two sides that go under the dash in front of the gear lever , small piece round the handbrake and gear lever and drivers footwell. just take the handbrake grip off lever and that section lifts off then you can take the aluminum bits off, 20 mins, unscrew the countersunk allen bolts from both sides of the dash tray near the doors remove the radio unscrew the wingnut from the radio pod, you get to it underneath in front of the gear lever, then the dash tray will move forward enough to get the carpet out 30 mins, Just the drivers footwell. A day later got the last two pieces out and what a PITA , The pedal box has to come out rusty bolts and all , and the plastic box on the right has to come out, have fun, I will post details on refitting when I get the carpet and get it fitted

Lakewell makes a "original"set for the Tuscan for 370 EURO's (ex VAT) It looks fine but the structure of the carpet is more Porsche than the original TVR item. Unfortunately are some pieces (like the dash tunnel and the foodwell) not "plug and play"and needs cutting. I was looking for the exact replica of the TVR carpets but this is more "Wiltonstyle". And it needs lots of glue to install.
I wonder if the original TVR carpet is still for sale as a set somewhere?

Yes D&C trim have the original materials, they're even based at the old factory. I wonder if the original TVR carpet is still for sale as a set somewhere?
I had some made for my Chimaera from carpet used in Jaguar restoration, its a much tighter tuft and feels really nice and they had the right colour of blue which is the same as the Tuscan, I want to give the interior a lift so Im going to have the edging in grey and the seats two tone grey

I believe D&C trim do still use them for some carpets although I dare say there are lots of other decent options around.
I managed to get hold of the last 14metres of the original colour in my Tuscan from Segal, as I couldn't find another decent light/silvery blue.
