Insurance premiums on Tuscan
Discussion
Have a T350c at present, and after going into Castles today, am seriously thinking about the Tuscan 2. I love the T350, but do miss being able to take the roof off.
I had a tamora and Griff before the T350, and have always found very good insurance quotes. However, I seem to remember some threads a while ago about how much ins premiums had gone up for Tuscans, as there had been a large rise in the number of claims.
Has anyone here had ownership of both T350/Tamora and Tuscan, and have you experienced any dificulties getting competeive quote on Tuscan recently.

No, but only Tuscan and Tuscan Mk2 S.
Priviledge came out tops for me this time.
Sunninghill last time and Tesco always in for a chance. I think there are so many criteria that come into play, everyone you talk to has a diff answer and one that's cheapest for them is not for someone else. Odd,eh?

Insurance premiums are only partly based on the car, other factors include your age, sex, claims history, other cars you have driven, job etc etc
They also weight each factor differently, so moving house can mean your current insurance premium rockets and another company, who previously were too expensive, suddenly become the cheapest
Insurers try to balance out their risk and will try to attract some cars/drivers at one time and another group at a different time, hence some companies are cheaper for one person, others are cheaper for another
The best advise is to get as many numbers as you can and shop around, if you only do a few thousand miles a year then look for limited mileage policies or some classic car schemes will inlcude TVS as "potential classics" (or similar wording)
Good luck

I tried Privilege yesterday as my insurance is now due. They were the only broker I rang who do not mirror no claims so I did not even bother to try and get a quote.
(I have max NCB on my two everyday cars but the Tuscan replaced an E-Type that I had for 9 years on a classic car policy - they don't carry a NCB).
